I just had to get the phone number for the Phoenix live cover band that we saw at the bar last night. They would be perfect for my wedding band. My mother and father would hate them, and that is all the more reason for wanting to hire them. They tried to get me to hire this old Phoenix wedding reception band that they had when they got married. I heard their old music and there is just no way that it will be happening. They informed me that I needed to find a band quickly and that they would not pay for a disk jockey, which they think are tacky.
The Phoenix live cover band plays all the music that I grew up with and since they already checked their schedule for my wedding date, and it was open, it should not be a problem. I just have to get a check from my father for the down payment and then they will have me sign a contract to keep that date for me. My soon to be husband will not care who I hire, so I am not going to even tell him about it.
I am looking forward to hearing the band again and knowing that I will not have to listen to the ancient sounds of the Phoenix wedding reception band that my parents wanted. It is supposed to be my day and since I have found my band, it is going to be a great night.

I could not decide what to donate to the local shelter this year and called to ask them what they really needed. The woman on the phone was a volunteer and told me that she thought that footed pajamas for the kids would be a good thing. I guess that the shelter is very cold and the cement floor is really not that clean. If I got footed pajamas for the kids, it would help them to stay warmer and keep their feet much cleaner during those cold winter months.
I started looking in the local stores and could not find any of the footed pajamas that were not priced too high. I decided to go back home and look online for some place cheaper. I found a site really quickly, that sold boys pajamas with feet in them and they were only five dollars apiece. I think that they are all seconds, but the boys at the shelter will not mind. I wished that they also had girls colors, but they did not.
I ended up paying about eight dollars apiece for the girls pajamas than I did for the boys pajamas. All in all, I donated twenty pairs of footed pajamas to the shelter and the kids could not stop thanking me. It feels really good to donated and give back to the community.

My sister and I have been running the same gym for twenty years now and every other week, a new salesman walks in to try and sell us something. This week, we had the pleasure of having two different salesmen come in.
On Tuesday, a cleaning products salesman came in to show us all of his products and how they are really good for the environment. I have never been one to give any time to these guys, but the whole green thing made me pay attention. He gave us about ten different samples of various cleaning products that are not harmful to people, plants or animals and told us that he would be back at the end of the week to see how we liked them.
Then on Thursday, a safety supplies salesman came into the gym and showed me and my sister all of the new safety products that are available on the market today. I was not as impressed with the safety supplies guy, but he made a small sale since some of our first aid kits were a little out of date. Now that he sold us something, I know that he will be back all the time.
